Nagarkot Sunrise Tour takes you to one of the highest scenic hills within the valley rims of Kathmandu. Located at 2, 175 m or 7,136 feet high above the northeastern end of Kathmandu valley within the Bhaktapur district.

Best Season for Nagarkot Sunrise Tour:

Tour of Nagarkot for views of sunrise, can visit nearly all seasons of the year, except for monsoon wet months of mid-June to August. The best favorable seasons are spring and autumn / fall, as well in winter times of Christmas and New Year till February.

Please note:

Instead of waking early in the morning for a drive to Nagarkot, one can reach Nagarkot, a day ahead by afternoon. With an opportunity to catch sunsets, spend an overnight at Nagarkot in nice hotels, and enjoy the sunrise views next early morning.

An early morning wake up by 4: 30 a.m. having a refreshment or on the way. A drive of fewer than two hours to be at Nagarkot on time to catch the stunning sunrise. The journey leads on a smooth highway towards the east of Kathmandu city reaching the outskirt of Bhaktapur city. Then the drive leads on a winding hilly road to Nagarkot reaching a specific spot to enjoy views of the sunrise.

Either from the nearest hotel or further above the town at Observation and View Tower. Located on a small hillock, where one can catch the glorious sunrise, as it reflects over a chain of Himalayan peaks. After a refreshing morning at Nagarkot with spectacular sunrise and Himalayan Mountain views.
